## §1 What went wrong in the prior report

My original inventory used the shell pattern `ls "$p/Filing"/*.svg` which matches only files **directly** inside `Filing/`. It did NOT recurse into `Filing/Drawings/` subdirectories. As a result I under-counted drawings for any patent that uses a `Drawings/` subfolder organisation pattern — most critically **P01** (reported 0, actually 8) and **P02** (reported 0, actually 5). The error propagated to Section C, Section G, and Section L, and was the basis for the BLOCKING flag on P01/P02 drawings. **That flag was incorrect.** It also drove the partially-incorrect OI-7 status.

This amendment corrects the inventory using a `find -type f` recursive scan across all 10 Wave-1 patent folders.

- Drawing format compliance: Patent Office accepts black-and-white line drawings (PDF or compressed images); SVGs must be rendered to compliant format at submission time. Confirm renderer pipeline.
- Per-figure compliance with Patents Rules 2003 Rule 15 (margin requirements, sheet numbering, no shading inconsistencies).

**Net effect of correction:** **9 of 9 Wave-1 patents are package-ready** (drawings no longer blocking any of them). The single remaining cross-cutting BLOCKING gap is the **six-condition authority lock** required by the Filing Agent skill before actual filing can proceed. Package-preparation work is complete or near-complete for the entire wave.

> **L-FA-001 (2026-05-29):** When inventorying a patent folder for drawings, always use `find -type f -iname "*.svg"` (recursive, any depth) rather than `ls Filing/*.svg` (one level only). Patent teams organise drawings in two patterns: (a) flat — SVGs directly in `Filing/`, named with patent prefix (e.g., `VeriXA_P05_Fig1...svg`); (b) sub-foldered — SVGs in `Filing/Drawings/`, often with a sibling `Reference_Numerals.md` and a `Drawings.zip` archive. The sub-folder pattern is preferred for patents with 5+ figures because it co-locates reference-numeral discipline. Always check both patterns before declaring a drawing gap. False BLOCKING flags on filing readiness are a high-cost error — they delay filing and undermine confidence in the audit method.

## §9 What this amendment does NOT change

- **Authority lock remains the binding pre-filing gate.** Six conditions still pending in-session recording; no patent can be filed until those are present, regardless of package readiness.
- **External counsel sign-off remains required** for every patent before filing.
- **P07 and P08 prior-art clearance** still recommends counsel-led IPC-filtered inPASS deep search + Espacenet/PATENTSCOPE manual sessions per inPASS Findings §6 — that recommendation is unchanged.
- **P02 / P03 surgical-fix v1.1 status** is unchanged — the amendments applied to the Form 1/Form 2 texts on 2026-05-28 remain in force.
- **R-002 (P02 ↔ P03 double-patenting demarcation)** remains addressed per the Demarcation Memo v1.1.
